In the crisp blue skies of RAF Coningsby this morning the RAF's Battle of Britain Memorial Flight made a welcome return to the skies with a RR Merlin powered Spitfire. TE311, the Flights SPitfire Mk XVIe took to the skies for the first time since since May 2024, marking a return to normal operations for the BBMF in 2025.
The aircraft completeted a short Air Test above RAF Coningsby, home to the BBMF as short time after an announcement (below) was made on Social Media.
